Ebony and Ivory

The Winter Solstice precedes the second exact Jupiter-Saturn square on December 24. The chart is particularly powerful, as Mercury and the Moon line up with it to form a mutable grand cross whilst the Neptune, Pluto, Uranus minor grand trine moves into it's beneficial influence over the next few years. The Pluto ingress into Aquarius on November 20 is still in a high energy transition position that should last until Pluto reaches the 3rd degree of Aquarius early next year.

1- Jupiter, Saturn, Moon, Mercury Grand Cross

Mercury (in Sagittarius) opposite Jupiter (in Gemini)

Tendencies for mental overconfidence, to go to extremes, promising more than you can deliver. Intense intellectual debates are possible.

Moon (in Virgo) opposite Saturn (in Pisces)

A negative mental attitude and often a restriction of the spontaneous flow of ideas can occur. There is a tendency to be overly fussy and worrying about details.

Mercury square Saturn

Suggestion of mental restraint and strong ties to traditional ways of thinking. There is a tendency because of this, to uphold the established order and resist change. Mental processes are on the pessimistic side, with worrying too much, often about unimportant details, with a tendency for dogmatism and fanaticism.

Jupiter square Saturn

The square between Jupiter and Saturn denotes some problems where one questions one's abilities and puts oneself down in comparison to others, with creative critical discussions

Moon square Jupiter

This aspect brings a state of emotional excess, causing hasty, sometimes regrettable decisions. There can be a lack of concern about what others think. The aspect leads to self-indulgent, and frequently too indulgent of others, as well. Generous to a fault, bringing over-spending. It can bring a happy-go-lucky demeanor which is popular, but not always stable. Mood swings vacillate between periods of intense enthusiasm and periods of nonproductive apathy.

Moon square Mercury

A suggestion of conflict between mind and emotions, such as difficulties making reasonable judgments because feelings get in the way. Irrational decisions can place one at odds with people sometimes, with the feeling of being treated unfairly.

This aspect is touchy and willful, bringing tensions with the opposite sex, bringing unusual relationships and exotic fascinations.There is a tendency to defy convention and become a little bored with those who submit to it.

Sun square Neptune

This aspect is imaginative and creative, with tendencies to escape into fantasy worlds. It can be difficult to find an avenue of self-expression in society. This can be vulnerable emotionally and can produce a lax in morality, bohemian tendencies, and many impractical and unrealistic ideas.

After the dramatic shakeup of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in 2020, we are headed towards the most optimistic phase of this major cycle. However, we must first deal with the first speed bump, the Jupiter square Saturn phase, which will end next July. At the same time, this positive phase entails some major planetary changes, which implies some high-energy volatility. Most of these changes are currently occurring and will continue for most of 2025, as the positive period will start to manifest more concretely in 2026.
